Glossary

Term Definition
ALK Wamiri’s intelligent operating system for emerging and high-growth markets. The core platform through which all workflows and features are accessed.
Entity An organisation or tenant in ALK. Each entity has one or more workspaces.
Workspace A scoped environment within an entity. Used to control what specific team members can see and access.
Entity Owner The highest organisation-level role in ALK. Full control over all workspaces and settings. Assigned automatically to the first person who signs up.
Entity Admin Same permissions as Owner except cannot remove Owners. Best for IT leads and team managers.
Entity Member Day-to-day contributor. Can upload files, edit, and save insights but cannot manage users or integrations.
Entity Viewer Read-only access. Can view content they’ve been given access to. No uploads or edits.
Workspace Admin (ws_admin) Can manage members, assign roles, and connect integrations within a specific workspace. Cannot delete the workspace.
Workspace Member (ws_member) Can upload, view, and delete files and create conversations within a workspace. Cannot manage members or integrations.
Workflow A document intelligence process in ALK that automates a specific operational task. Examples include Account Reconciliation and Equity Mortgage.
Reconciliation The process of matching bank transaction records against a General Ledger to confirm consistency and accuracy.
GL (General Ledger) A complete record of all financial transactions for an organisation. Used as the reference document in reconciliation.
Mono A financial data integration available in ALK. Used to connect bank accounts for reconciliation and Pulse widgets.
Acumatica A cloud ERP integration available in ALK. Used to connect GL accounts and access inventory and purchase order data in Pulse.
Knowledge The ALK feature where data source connections are managed. Sources connected here are available in Chat and workflows.
Chat ALK’s AI-powered question and answer interface. Queries connected sources and uploaded documents. Does not search the web.
Analyst ALK’s data analysis feature. Accepts Excel files and performs AI-driven analysis, trend finding, and visualisation. Currently in Early Preview.
Pulse ALK’s monitoring and visualisation dashboard. Displays connected data as customisable widgets across Finance and Inventory tabs.
Widget A visual data display unit in Pulse. Available widgets include Balance, Cashflow, Transactions (Mono), and Quantity and Purchase Order (Acumatica).
Fuzzy Matching An advanced matching option in Reconciliation. Matches similar transactions even if descriptions differ slightly.
Date Tolerance An advanced matching option in Reconciliation. Allows a ±2 day window when matching transaction dates.
Amount Tolerance An advanced matching option in Reconciliation. Allows a $0.50 variance when matching amounts.
OAuth An authorisation protocol used to connect third-party applications like Acumatica to ALK securely.
Client ID A unique identifier generated when registering an OAuth app. Required when connecting Acumatica to ALK.
Client Secret A secure credential generated alongside a Client ID. Required when connecting Acumatica to ALK. Must be copied immediately, as it is not shown again.
Early Preview A label applied to features that are functional but still being refined. Analyst is currently in Early Preview.
